Collin Yeoh has wanted to be a writer all his life, and indeed has been writing professionally for 17 years. At some point, he remembered that advertising copy wasn’t what he wanted to write growing up as a lonely bookworm kid. If you’ve been reading this blog for a couple years then you know that I am a huge fan of H.L. Burke’s Superheroes series. The newest installment is getting a cover today. This is actually the third boo in her YA spinoff series.

This novel is one I’m very hyped for. Marco is one of my favorite characters in the YA series, because he is an adorkable floof who just wants to do the right thing. He is my innocent little Marco-mallow and he looks so bad-ass on this cover. I am so worried about what this mean author is going to put him through.

Cover Reveal: The Frog Prince’s Courtship.

So one of my favorite genres is fairy tale retellings. Which is strange because I really value originality in my fiction. (It’s one of the reason’s that fan fiction doesn’t impress me much.) But sometimes having a formulaic plot to adhere to really lets the author shine by putting more of their energy into producing original characters and unique worldbuilding. (Actually I’m currently writing a fairy tale retelling.)

So when my friend RJ was looking for people to share the cover of her new frog prince retelling I jumped on it. RJ Conte is an amazing author who has a talent for writing relatable characters. I can’t wait to see what she brings to this timeless story.

I’m excited to join in the Cover Reveal of Secrets in the Mist by Morgan L Busse releasing from Enclave publishing in August 2021! This is the first book in the YA steampunk Skyworld duology and is available to preorder in Limited-Edition Hardcover.

I absolutely loved The Soul Chronicles, Busse’s previous foray into the Steampunk genre. While it looks like Secrets in the Mist is going to take place in a new story world it looks like it will have a similar dark tone. And I’m sure it will have more of Busse’s deep character development and attention to world building.

The cover was designed by Emilie Hendryx, who you can find on instagram as @createexploreread, and it is spectacularly steampunk.
